It should definitely be pronounced with a hard G if you use Attic or Koine Greek (two of the most common ancient Greek dialects). The section in the Wikipedia article is ambiguous. It says that "jiga" is "a correct pronouncation" but then two sentences later it refers to "giga" with a hard G as the correct pronounciation.
