I'm willing to cooperate, since I do have a minolta maxxum 7000, a maxxum 
4000 flash and a sony alpha. I got the adaptor so the 4000 would fit the new 
hot shoe style, but the adaptor is pretty simple and lots of the flash 
features are disregarded with the adaptor. I got the camera very recently, 
so I'm still learning how to use the flash effectively on it.

I also have some testing equipment (oscope, dmm, pic dev boards, etc) so I 
could try to hack it.
