One more try. Any of you technophiles selling a Minolta flash suitable for a Minolta Maxxum 7D digital camera or know anyone who is ? Models which work properly with the 7D are fairly rare. These include Minolta 2500(D) - less capable than I really want) 3600(HS)D 5600(HS)D Metz Some of MZ4 54 family either Minolta dedicated or with SCA3302 adaptor Sigma Some of EF500 DG super with Minolta shoe. Russell ___________ FWIW The flashes talk with the camera re the various complex capabilities and settings. Flashes which don't speak the lingo, and most don't, do not work well with the 7D. HS means it has "high speed" capability to allow it to work at say 1/1200th second shutter when the inter-blind slot is only ever partially open at any one time. It does this by flashing repeatedly so all areas are illuminated evenly on average as the blind slot passes over them. D means that it can read distance information from suitably capable Minolta (or other) lenses to assist in flash setting. -- http://www.piclist.com PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist
