Good chance really. How many times did he say "One false
move and I'm history" ? When you specialise in getting up
close and personal with such dangerous animals, you have to
walk a tightrope. Just last week I saw a documentary called
"Seven Deadly Strikes" in which the host was badly bitten by
a cobra for our entertainment

Although I've not watched Irwin for some time (I found him
quite irritating **, despite the good intentions), it is very sad to
see the end of a real character. David Bellamy or David
Attenborough on steroids. The world needs characters

Although the man has gone, he leaves a great memory and
wildlife legacy behind

** His catchphrase in South Park's "Prehistoric Ice Man" was
"Oi'll stick moi thumb up this croc's orse. That'll roolly piss 'im
orf !!"
