I'm so confused :-( I wonder how much energy would be saved just by upgrading old houses to modern high-efficiency heating? I mean, I live in a relatively recently constructed area, and I'm sure much of the heating pre-dates modern concerns about efficiency, and some place are MUCH older. Shucks, we looked at some houses back when we were house-hunting that were heated by wood stoves... (OTOH, what percentage of the population lives in houses...)
