As a fellow dumpster-diver/envulturater you'll appreciate that
many discarded TVs have half-decent speakers. One of the
few things I can be bothered actively looking for in inorganic
throwouts. Doesn't solve the enclosure problem directly but
the case can be cut up and re-used. Also the vent on top of a
TV or CRT monitor makes a good speaker grill too
