That's a serious answer, by the way; the heavily competitive consumer computer market has resulted in some pretty good speakers being available for prices you probably can't match by building yourself. I don't even know where you'd even buy the small high-power speakers those things tend to use, and you'd still have to come up with an appropriate (high density?) enclosure. Go to your local computer store and find a set that sounds good to you, and matches your budget and size constraints. (You COULD extract the speakers and build them into your clock, but...
