Other days, the excited anticipation of getting there is tempered by the fact that I already am But always on foot (hands and knee days, eg Monday mornings, thing of the past) 2) How far? 10ft if direct out of bed. 50ft if via the kitchen. Always via the kitchen (brief stop at desk to power-up PC, suppose that counts as work time, damn) > > 3) How long does it take in each direction? > Twice as long There I'd have to disagree with Dave. In NZ half the distance takes half the time. Unless you go half as slow, just to be difficult in an e-mail > > 4) If you don't use public transportation, IS there a public > > transportation alternative? How long would THAT take? Mother could give me a piggy back I guess, if she really loved me, but she's not public. Not any more. And y'know, brittle bones and all. Besides, when I win the lottery we're getting separate beds, so I'd not be able to rely on her forever. Better if I get used to making my own bleary-eyed way to the kettle If I go into town to odd-job I'll generally bike or take the train. Bike - slower but good exercise / interesting. No parking hassles Train - quick, cheap, but you have to sit in the back carriage with the other bike-riding oiks -- http://www.piclist.com PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist
