How long would THAT take? No easily accessible public trans near my house. At least 5 miles to the nearest bus stop. So we're driving or biking. Then the trip would require a bus, two trains, and another bus in yet another transportation system. Never took that trip but estimate it would be between 90 minutes and 2 hours each way. Not to mention the complication of having two children that need to be dropped off and picked up to school. My middle daughter has an interesting situation. Her school is only about 1.5 miles from the house as the crow flies. However it's out of district. Also we have no usable sidewalks so walking or biking is out. If she were to take the school bus, it would end up being a 10 mile trip that takes over 90 minutes each way to complete. So would mass transport be cost or time effective in that case? It takes about 3 minutes to drive her to school. BAJ -- http://www.piclist.com PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist
