3) How long does it take in each direction?
morning: 20 minutes including my coffee stop
evening: 20 to 30 minutes depending on what time I live

4) If you don't use public transportation, IS there a public transportation
alternative?  How long would THAT take?
a) yes and no.  Yes because I could take the bus that takes me from Bedford
all the way to Cambridge and from there take another bus all the way back to
Burlington, rediculous since burlington is just the next town over. This would
probably be close 2 hours each way (to/from work), so no, there is no
alternative public transportation.

For the most part, plublic transportation (from what I've experienced of the
times I did need to use it) in the greater Boston area is pretty much a star
configuration, you can take a bus/train from particular points outside of
boston into boston and back, but there is very little public transportation
between 2 points that are both outside of town.
