Back in Hawaii, I did commute by bus to work. Roughly a 20 mile commute, a 90 minute bus ride, IF the buses actually stopped to pick you up. An hour's wait for the next one. Buses were routinely crowded way beyond any safe limits, and you got to deal with interesting things like the guy with the 5 gal bucket of rotting seaweed. Going home was more fun. There were several routes that went along the same path for most of the way, so my route (being the longest) was the de-facto pick up for everyone who missed their desired bus, making it overcrowded even on the best days. It was worth it to me, to grab another bus in to the main station at Ala Moana, and then ride the bus from there, just to be assured of A:getting on, and B: having a seat. On the plus side, I got a lot of reading done, and after a while, I built up a breifcase containing a protoboard, parts, 12V solder iron, and 2 channel battery powered scope. A lot more pleasant to sit next to, than the guy with the bucket of seaweed.. -- http://www.piclist.com PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist
