"An instructor and two trainee pilots were onboard but walked away without injury. It is believed the Piper Warrior's engine failed and caused the crash." Engine failure and not in gliding distance to an airport, and everyone walked away, unharmed. That's a GOOD day teaching Aviation skills. The consequences for the student alone may truly have been deadly, depending on how far along the student is in their training. In fact any time you mix "crash" with "walked away, uharmed"... that's good. Airplanes can be replaced. #1 rule is don't bend the airplane. However, if it comes down to bending the airplane to survive, rule #1 is rescinded.
