I am trying to use an EasyProg to program an 18F4520 in circuit using the ICSP jack on the side. When I run pic_prog with no parameters, I get: Firmware is type EasyProg version 12 by Embed Inc. No information was found for a PIC with device ID word 65. This chip is not supported. *** Program aborted on error. *** When I run test_picprg and execute in ID command, I get: : id ID Namespace 16 bit "high end" core, 0000000001000001b 0041h 65 I am guessing that this indicates that communication is working. I am not sure why pic_prog doesn't recognize it. I checked the website, and the 18F4520 is listed as supported. FWIW: I am using the QFP version of the chip, 44 pin. Anything I am missing? Do I need to update my firmware?
