I am developing a new product based on the PIC18F4550. In the past I wrote my code in assembly, which was often tedious and time consuming.
  I decided to step up to a higher level language. I am considering the PICBASIC compiler and one of the C compilers. I would like to hear from others who used these compilers to understand the pros and cons of each.
  Perhaps there is a site that compares them all or contains reviews that someone can recommend.
