Have a look at: file:///C:/Repository/NikonSB/StringFormat.html Made my C program a chunk smaller by re-using strings in messages (stored as tables in program memory....). I wrote it with C18 in mind, but will probably be useful for HitechC as well. (Especially if you say your menu system is obese).
