hello list!

i have today got problems with my icd 1 with a 16LF876 chip...
i used this device a couple times for about 3 years.
i have first used the orginal firmware with mplab 5.20 and the went to c 
coding with the ccs pch pcw compiler
with this software came a "icd-s" firmware and a seperate software. 
called "Icd.exe". this tool allows me to switch the firmware in the icd 
chip to 18f oder 16f devices.  last pic i was programming with the icsp 
was a 16f877(a) and today i wanted to programm a pic18f6720 and made the 
same thing i ever do. .- switch the firmware to be able to programm the 
18er series .
then it happend.  the device hang up and then i think did the 
mistake..   after the device made the firmware update the software- 
device sayed "could not find icd check power and cable" ok.- i switched 
of the icd and powerd on again.
but i thing i would never see this again.  "Could not connect. No 
response from ICD, check connection and power to icd"

does anybody had this problem too? how could i solve it?
