I recently saw a pair of docos called "An Alien History Of Planet

Mostly they explored the possibility/probability that most or all UFOs
are terrestial military experiments. The phenomena of UFOs (that
were actually US and USSR test flights) was used by the intelligence
agencies of both countries. They were quite happy for the populace
to believe that extra-terrestrials existed so the occassional spotting
of something secret generated column inches by the UFO believers

Explored at the start of part 1 was the Wenceslas Mine, apparently
a super-secret WW2 Nazi project to develop anti-gravity
