hi list!
i want to build my watt meter my own.
my question: how could i solve the 230 v mains for voltage measurement 
and current for the shunt by indirect current measurement?

if i supply the circuit with 5v by transformer i have a galvanic border 
for the supply but how to seperate the a/d converter from the mains?
could i use x2 caps to seperate the pic from mains which uses an Xc with 
an depending value of the capacity?
