The "problem" is people remove the guards because they get in the way. Even with this saw stop, I'm pretty sure that even if it were mandated the first time it false triggers, someone will figure out a way to bypass it, nullifying the safety aspect of it. In the end, people will ALWAYS be at risk, trying to protect people from every single thing in life that CAN hurt them is an absolute waste of time and money IMHO.
