Hi all! Here's the deal: I have one working chip and hard copy of the code. I'm trying to duplicate it to three more chips. No success so far. Also, I'm complete lamer with PICs, never done anything with them. Although the assembler (MPASM) and programmer (don't know the model, the device is not accessible now) do support the PIC16F84-04/p, I'm having trouble. So the question is - do I need to do anything but extract old file from the working chip and load it on other chip? when the newly programmed PIC chips are read back in the programmer, the checksum value does not agree. The programmer is telling me that there is/are configuration word(s) that needs to be setup (manually??). Another thing - I get the worning on the first line, no matter how I put it - processor p16f84 or list p=16f84 or list p=pic16f84 What's the problem there? Thank you for any replies, I understand that the information is very blurry, so please ask questions, I'll do my best to answer them. -- View this message in context: http://www.nabble.com/p16f84-programming-tf2109881.html#a5816590 Sent from the MicroControllers - PIC forum at Nabble.com. -- http://www.piclist.com PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist
