All the triggering logic is = basically done - I'm just working on the host interface (CPLD interfaces to= a = PIC's PSP, then the PIC does protocol conversion to interface to a PC via U= SB = or RS232) and the acquisition logic now. I've even got a (paper-only ATM) design for a combination of the logic = analysis engine and a simple 60MSPS oscilloscope. The eventual plan is to d= o = two designs: - One with no display at all, powered by a PIC18F4550. Full firmware = upgrade support, and maybe some support for gate array fusemap updates too = (if = I get sufficiently bored). - Another with a Nokia cellphone display, powered by an SX28AC. Simple P= C = link support, a Ramtron FRAM for data storage, and the aforementioned analo= gue = front end. I'd love to turn them both into saleable products, but CE (EMC directive on= ly = - IIRC the Low Voltage Directive only covers 50 to 400V) approvals testing = is = pretty damned expensive, and that's the real show-stopper.. RoHS I can = probably handle, but EMC/LVD is going to be a real pig :( -- = Phil. | Kitsune: Acorn RiscPC SA202 64M+6G ViewFind= er philpem@dsl.pipex.com | Cheetah: Athlon64 3200+ A8VDeluxeV2 512M+10= 0G http://www.philpem.me.uk/ | Tiger: Toshiba SatPro4600 Celeron700 256M+4= 0G -- = http://www.piclist.com PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist
