Hello all, I can't get the ICD2 to program my chip. I think It's wired wrong. Am I right with the pinout below? ICD2 pinout? (looking at the ICD2 female jack with pins up) 1 not used 2 PGC 3 PGD 4 Ground 5 VDD 6 MCLR/Vpp That would mean.... pin 2 on ICD2 female rj12 jack = PGC and goes to PGC(RB6) on 18f452. Yes? I'm using XP pro. The ICD2 shows in the device manager and seems to communicate well with Mplab. I'm using a rj12 jack with wires that connect to the chip (18f452). I'm using a simple project I've used before with my Picstart plus. I'm compiling it with CCS PCH. It's wired according to the ICD2 jack pinout from the large poster that came with it. The problem is in the ICD2 status tab Target Vdd and MCLR Vdd read low and under Power tab Target Vdd reads 0. I have a 5v supply connected and measure 5v. The only things on the board are crystal, reset circuit and power. When I remove power and power the target from the ICD all the settings read ok, self test passes but I still can't program the chip. It fails verifying. I even disconnected the crystal. The chip was ok last time I used it. I'm about to slapshot this puck and go back to my Picstart. Any help would be great.
