Sent: Thursday, August 3, 2006 2:04:33 PM Subject: [OT]: CAD in a Xp dos window Hi list, just migrated to WinXp Pro and a pentium something.... I have a DOS cad software (EE Designer) I want to run in a DOS window. The software needs expanded memory, and won't start, I get an error message. What I had before was DOS 6.20 on a 486DX2, and running emm386 inside config.sys to get the expanded memory. My question is: Can I take the same emm386 exe-file and move it to the xp-computer and call it from the config.sys, or will that mess up the XP ? Will it work at all ? Or is there another way around this ?
