It's not clear to me that a "PCI Parallel port card" actually
implements the same parallel ports that you probably want (at
IO ports xxx and yyy, frob-able as bare hardware.)  I've been
doing some work with PCI recently, and what I've seen makes it
seem like it would be difficult (but perhaps I'm just not
intersecting with the bits that allow you to put IO space on
a PCI card.)  It'd certainly be worth sticking a commercial
PCI parallel port in there and seeing if it behaves the way
you want...
