After 18 hours of direct flight from Singapore to New York and one hour of transit flight to Cleveland, I am in US again. The company is in a nearby small city and the environment is actually quite nice. I was in US before but I was mostly surrounded by Chinese students, Chinese supervisors, Chinese food and Chinese language. I know that is not the real US. So this time I am having mostly American food (even the Chinese food here is too much Americanized), surrounded by American colleagues, mostly using English. Today we went to watch the baseball game (the Indians lost to the Tiger 1:4) and we were taking very nice car (quite long with a small bar) which I only saw once in LA. Then I was watching TVs and it is said that the government is pouring big money to try to create more jobs in the Cleveland area. I think this is more real US... I hope I can drive...
