You are looking to build a device that transmits on 2.4GHZ, just about the same frequency as your microwave oven and you know what that does. Your comments and questions to date indicate that you are not experienced in this area. At 2.4gigs a 50ohm stripline that is an electrical short circuit is no longer a short circuit at the frequency but an inductor whose value is determined by length (intentionally not mentioned other factors) The board layout and material MUST be spot on, no 'thats near enough' Without a spectrum analyzer you should NOT even consider building a transmission device which could be capable of 'cooking' your big toe and could radiate all over the spectrum and well out of band causing interference to other Wi-Fi users and probably the amateur bands, commercial bands and military bands. Depending on where you live, sentences vary from huge fines and confiscation of equipment to custodial. I am not saying that homebrew kit should not be built, after all my 23cms, 13cms and 3cms kit is all homebrew but tested and setup using the correct equipment.
