I know an industrial designer who works for a hospital's geriatrics research department here in Toronto. The work is very technically oriented for sure, but it's also very hands on. His other job was teaching a plastics fabrication class at my university, though he has since moved on to teaching full classes, and for his work he's always building things and testing them. I know they *do* use some electronics in some of the assistive devices, but the development is very integrated with the real hardware. Hard to do that stuff without a commute. That said... Adaptive technology... Wait, what are you refering too exactly? :) -- pete@petertodd.ca http://www.petertodd.ca -- http://www.piclist.com PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist
