Hello, I have a home made Wisp628 and use xwisp2 version 1.9.0 with it. I've been having this problem... 1. After programming the chip, the circuit doesn't go into "run mode" although it says so at the end. 2. There is also this message - "SendReceiveFast read timeout, received 4 of 5". The circuit just lies dead till I switch it off and on, after which it runs fine. 3. If I do not switch the circuit off and on and again try to program it; it doesn't, saying: SendReceiveSlow read timeout, 0 bytes received Failed to activate Wbus device, not connected? xwisp2 failed after 1.28 seconds, rc 23! Although the programmer works fine, having to switch it on/off to get it back in run mode is the inconvenience. a. There is nothing connected to the RB6, RB7 and LVP pins. Only the ICSP connectors. b. There isn't any capacitor in /MCLR line (only a 10K resistance to +5V). And the ICSP connection which goes directly to /MCLR and not through the 10K resistance. c. I've tried 2 serial ports on my PC (P4, WinXP). Same problem in both. d. The cable from PC to Wisp628 is about 1 meter long. e. To program I type in "xwisp2w abc" in the command prompt. I don't set the baud rate or anything. What should I be looking at? Where could the problem lie?
