Why he asked me is because I fitted a controller for his variable
pitch propellor. At times the controller would play up and send
the propellor towards full coarse and would have to be reset. He
then noticed that at the same time he was having this trouble with
the radio too. When there've been controller problems in other
planes, the majority are because of poor radio installations. Pulse
counting circuitry and associated cable are generally OK if the radio
has been set up properly and RF goes where it's supposed to
