If the goal is to build one yourself regardless of cost, for experience, education, or fun, by all means go right ahead. If however the goal is to maximize productivity (something you also said), then go buy the $300 ready made solution guaranteed to work off the shelf where someone else has already paid for the expensive and time consuming development. There is no way you're going to build one yourself for $300 unless you value your time less than $3/hour or so, not to mention the opportunity cost of not having one until you finish cobbling it together and making it actually work. ****************************************************************** Embed Inc, Littleton Massachusetts, (978) 742-9014. #1 PIC consultant in 2004 program year. http://www.embedinc.com/products -- http://www.piclist.com PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist
