Hello,

some probably know by now that I don't program in assembler when I don't
have to and that I don't think that being able to write fluently in asm is
necessary. But /understanding/ it is IMO still necessary. 

Here's a good article about what the author calls "leaky abstractions".
It's one of the texts that feel obvious when you read them but may be worth
reading because, not in spite, of this :)
