S.H.A.P.S. consortium Jump from 33,000 feet / 10 km Current descent time is 45 minutes (!) 40 km cross range capability http://www.spelco.de/ Demo user has an impressively large equipment pod - maybe 0.25 m^3. (The model appears to be a woman but this has got to be about the most unflattering outfit one could imagine)(except perhaps to people who love techno toys :-) ). ESG's "Gryphon" winged descent system is proposed as an extension of SHAPS to reduce descent time to 15 minutes and give users a 200 kph cross range velocity. ESGs page here with no pictures http://www.esg.de/en/press/pressreleases/archive.php?tid=888&lang=en&hl=gryphon but lots elsewhere on web with pictures which MAY be kosher eg http://www.newlaunches.com/archives/its_a_bird_its_a_plane_no_it_is_esg_gryphon.php but very well may not.
