You should not have to spend so much money to get it accurate. Think of all the battery powered thermostats and watches even the $1.00 battery operated watch/clocks at Target that are accurate to a few seconds a year. They are just using cheap 5ppm 32.765 KHz tuning forks and triming the error away.
