I installed one over the weekend. host OS: SuSe linux 10.1, guest OS: Windows XP. Works fine for the most part, but I was not able to make U-ICD debugger (from CCS) to work under Windows virtual machine. Must be that Linux intercepts USB connection and does not pass it to Windows. Also, the guest OS is slower. OK to run not real time processes like compiler or web browsing, but even sound playback becomes problematic (unless, of course, I could convince myself to upgrade to the latest hardware).
