Perhaps he read one obsolete part notice incorrectly and extrapolated
it to the entire line.   They can be quite confusing if you're not
used to them and only skim.

Or maybe he knows something we don't know.  But if you can't find
something he says in on the website, I would recommend you treat the
rest of his statement with appropiate skepticism.
