I have not tried virtual PC but I tried vmWare before. It is said that
MPLAB/ICD2 works well under Linux using vmWare.

However I like Windows XP/Linux dual-boot better. Actually I
have 4 Linux OSes (Ubuntu 5.10/6.06 and Fedora Core 4/5)
and one XP SP2 for my Desktop. I mainly use Ubuntu 5.10 and
Windows XP SP2.

I do use DosBox under Windows/Linux occasionally.
