I posted this once a few minutes ago and forgot the PIC
tag.  Sorry.

	I was at a ham fest flea market event yesterday and a guy
selling parts who didn't have anything in particular to gain from
stating this said that all the PIC 16F's were all going away and
all that would be left were surface mount devices.  He said,
"It's on their web site,"

	I looked briefly at the Microchip web site today and
didn't see anything right off but I also didn't dig very deeply either.

	If any PIC's are going away, does anybody know which
ones?  Is the DIP package going extinct soon?  This will be a
major pain for those of us who like to breadboard wire-wrap
projects.
