I saw ELP at Southampton University in 1971 and remember KE's
manic activity on stage. His party trick back then was pushing over
a stack of electronics (at the end of the gig of course) to go out on
a roar, very a la Pete Townsend. There's film of him doing that at
the (I think) Festival Hall

In the CFM program, it was stated that initially KE used a Moog
borrowed from Mike Vickers, who would be changing patches for
KE during performances

It was suggested that the outro of Lucky Man was the first synthesiser
solo in rock. It's certainly big and attention-getting. I prefer the track
before, Tank. The final 2 minutes is an awesome piece of composition
