Hi all, my name is Lee and I am studying Electronic Engineering. Im entering my 3rd year now, and I have very basic PIC knowlege. In my second year I designed a Digital Dash using the BASIC Stamp 2. This was o.k for the second year, but very amateur using the stamp. It did have plently of features, but it was running flat out. It displayed, RPM/Speed/Oil/Water/Fuel etc all on an LCD Screen, as well as having a REV limiter and Launch Control. Id like to expand this project and I was wondering what PIC I should use? Someone also mentioned the ATMEL? I am thinking of implementing a 50-100Hz data logger, to log the 5 channels. Can anyone point me in the right direction? I have 18 months to work on this project, so I dont thnk it should be out of my depth.
