Funny that you mention that, Walter... A few weekends ago I was cleaning out the cabinet where I keep most of my archive media. I ran across 5-1/4" floppy distribution disks for C6805 and MPC. They all were V1.x, including a V1.0 disk for MPC. It made me realize we are getting old ;-) I first used a PIC back when they were still a General Instruments part too. We used them to control some communications hardware in medical devices. We used a lot of NMOS NSC COP400 4-bitters in consumer electronics as well. Good training for future PIC work as the architectures are very similar.
