Dear Sirs: For a movementet (position) tracker with contact, I'm using a hall effect device that outputs a voltage proportional to the position of the target (the way analog joysticks do, centered: half Vdd, increasing or decreasing with the "cursor" position. Due to very strong magnetic fields, the output voltage could be afected. I've been looking to gyroscopes, but they offer an output of relative change of position, not the actual position, and also can be affected by magnetism. The solution could be resistor joysticks? If I change to contactless, ultrasonics could be easily affected by industrial electrical and magnetically noisy environment (welding jobs)? Optics is too much hi tech for me. Thank you by your suggestions. Best regards Luis I. -- http://www.piclist.com PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist
