>Turned off the analogue inputs on Port A? Ah, I remember something about this before.. I've set the ANSEL register to 0, that should so it I believe. And now SOMETIMES a readable message shows on the screen! I'm noticing now that it's actually resetting itself, (as it is the initial message that comes up, then flashes around and comes back) (as if the watch dog was resetting it) But the 16F84A had no issues like this.. I've tried disabling the Brown out circuit... But this shouldn't be activating because the power rails are steady at 4.93V The master reset has been tied to the positive rail through a 10k resistor Thanks, that's got me moving forward :D More ideas? Do I have to enable pull-ups in the chip at all? --Josh -- http://www.piclist.com PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist
