I found the film had none of the humour of the radio or the TV series (David Jason et al were great). I found it galling was seeing characters from the original as bit players (eg the real Marvin, Simon Jones, and even Douglas Adams himself) Reminded me of the skit from "Not The 9'o'Clock News" - "Nice Video - Shame About The Song" Some stinky reviews at www.rottentomatoes.com.
