I want to evaluate the ENC18J60, but before getting this controler to work, I like to get some experience with some of the internet protocols. Now I think it would it much easier to debug to evaluate the protocols, over a well known physical layer, like the RS232 commport. (so just put a PIC to the serial commport, and being able to "ping" from within windows) So therefor I want a RS232 port (under winXP) to behave as network adapter, is this possible ? I've searched the web, but get lost in all kinds of interface boxes / cables, but couldn't find any winXP software "driver". thanks, Stef Mientki -- http://www.piclist.com PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist
