Here's a simple question, What's the technical name of the common white keyed connectors used on PIC ICSP cables and often sold to hobbyests? Picture here: http://www.sparkfun.com/commerce/images/Main-Pg1-1.jpg And here: http://www.sparkfun.com/commerce/images/Main-PIC-MCP-0.jpg I'm trying to figure out how to order them from digikey, but the connectors section is about 100 pages and I'm a little confused. :) Also, any advice on properly crimping them would be appreciated. Currently I just strip about 2mm and use needle nose pliers to crush the metal tabs down on the wire and remaining insulation. I then solder the electrical connection. This seems to work, but is time consuming and I know they aren't meant to be soldered. Better ideas? Or even better connectors for 2-6 pin useage? -- pete@petertodd.ca http://www.petertodd.ca -- http://www.piclist.com PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist
