That particular design proved to be a waste of time.  One drawback of
mag-loops is that they are very High Q and thus have a narrow usable
bandwidth.

The article in RadComm claimed that the "cage" construction provided a 
wider usable bandwidth, but the measurements I took showed no increase
in bandwidth as additional wires were added to the cage.
