This might be true for the whole commondity consumer electronics product... I bought a Brandt washing machine, thinking that a European brand would be much better than a Japanese/Korean brand. In the end it failed after 1 and half years... If you are lucky, it wil serve you well for quite some years. If you are unlucky, it will just fail one month after the warranty.
