I am doing, what seems to me, a large PCB with many devices and the 
requisite large number of traces.  In the past, auto routing with Eagle 
required small adjustments but nothing very serious.  Of course with 
added complexity, comes more work, plus I'm now using Altium Designer so 
I'm not as familiar with the software.  What is the best way to go about 
auto-routing?

Something like:

1.) Place 'unmovable' components (things that need a specific spot)
2.) Place components that need short traces (xtal, etc)
3.) ???

Any other concerns that would make routing easier?
