But isn't the PIC30 dsPic a "beefed up" PIC 24 (or the 24 a cut down dsPic)?
The dsPic has a higher cycle life than that, and surely the cost of a dsPic
for prototyping is negligible. I can understand going to a 24 for cost
squeezed production, but why develop on it?
