If you have any doubt of your codes,send me a copy of critical parts
then i will check 'em for you. (2006 spring semester is over,i am
free)

As an other option,if have questions due to logic of algorithms i
think it will be meaningless to follow a guide.According to my
experiences you will be lost in different approaches of different
writers.

Try to generate specific solution to each algorithm instead of
searching for a general guide.Althought you will face with
difficulties if the project you are working on is not widely used.
